Non-Horse Owner Camp
Camp designed for kids without their own horses.
Our programs pair our riders together with a horse to share through the day. The pairs and their horses are allocated in relation to their height, weight, and riding ability.
Many kids come to our NHO programs by themselves, we have found our system creates friendship and allows us the opportunity to provide more hands on horse experience during their stay in a safe environment.
Avoca Park offer amazing fun filled camps for both horse owners and non-horse owners during the school holidays!
Join our well trained team and meet some new friends – all while having some great experiences with one of our horses!
We utilise our state of the art equestrian facility (with an indoor and outdoor arena, mountain trails obstacle course and safe riding track).
All kids stay is in our 8 bed bunkhouse, decked out with bedding, TV, bathroom, full kitchen and lounge area.
Pony Passion Sleepover
2 Day (1 Night) Non Horse Owner Camp
We are fortunate to have an amazing team of horses and ponies to suit every riders capability. The camp runs for two days and one night, some of the activities can be weather dependant but we pack the camp full of fun horsey activities with at least two lots of riding on each day.
There will be many activities to cater from ages 7-16 including:
Catching the ponies each morning and putting them away at night
Grooming
Plaiting and washing
Mucking out stables
Making up feeds and hay bags
Doing groundwork with the ponies
Tacking up and untacking the ponies
Lots of riding- dressage, jumping, riding on the open track!

Important: If we do not have sufficient numbers to fill the camps we cannot proceed - we need a minimum of 4 participants for each camp.

*There is a surcharge for GF meals. Vegetarian can be catered for but with allergies, (or dairy/nut free etc dietary requirements) we may ask for substitutes.

Suggested list of must have clothing and items to pack for camp:
Your own helmet, boots and riding gloves if you have them, (we provide helmets and have some boots available for our NHO participants).
Your own drink bottle.
T-shirt, jumper and pair of jodhpurs (or similar loose fitting pants), socks and undies for each day of camp.
1 x set Casual clothes for the evening.
Pajamas
Tooth brush
Towel
Swimmers (for the Spa)
Phone charger (if bringing your mobile phone).
Any medication your child may need during their stay.
If your child has specific dietary restrictions such as GF/Vegan/ Dairy free foods etc we may ask you to provide certain alternatives such as bread, cakes etc so your child doesn’t miss out.
We have plenty of toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner & soap available.
