Horse Lover Camp

Camp designed for kids with their own horses.

Avoca Park offer amazing fun filled camps for both horse owners and non-horse owners during the school holidays!

Join our well trained team and meet some new friends – all while having some great experiences with one of our horses!

We utilise our state of the art equestrian facility (with an indoor and outdoor arena, mountain trails obstacle course and safe riding track), each visiting horse will have an individual yard and human accommodation is in our 8 bed bunkhouse, decked out with bedding, TV, bathroom, full kitchen and lounge area.

Spring

2 Day (1 Night) Horse Owner Camp

The weather is getting better, the horses are fresh and ready to shake that winter coat. This camp is based in the Spring holidays with their best friend (their horse of course!!). The 2 day (one night camp) includes the following activities:

  • In-Hand Work – Learning how to balance your horse, teach manners and good leading skills from the ground. Good ground work aids the riders when they are mounted later on

  •  Dressage Practice or Test Riding depending on rider’s skills.

  • Course Building

  • Pole work and Show Jumping

  • Track & Hill Riding

  • Mounted Games

  • Plaiting Skills.

  • If the paddock isnt too wet, a play in our XC paddock, including our mountain trails obstacle course.

  • A chance to cool off/warm up in our Spa (bring your bathers)!

  • Dates to be posted…

  • Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and dessert provided on Day1 

  • Breakfast, Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided on Day 2.

    Summer

    3 Day (2 Night) Horse Owner Camp

    We have two holiday camps that run for three days aimed at horse owners between 7-18. We cater to riders of all abilities. They are put into riding groups of similar skills however they do the odd session (mounted games) as one large group.

  • Show Jumping

  • Dressage

  • Cross Country

  • Mountain Trails Obstacle course

  • Track & Hill Riding

  • Dressage Test Riding

  • Washing & Trimming

  • DVD’s

  • Games Galore

  • Cooling off in our Spa!

  • Mon 9 April to Wed April 11, 2022 (8 Spots Available)

    Mon 16 April to Wed 18 April 2022 (8 Spots Available)

    Drop off is 9.30am and pick up is 3pm

    (We will consider releasing more dates during the Summer holidays if we receive an unprecedented amount of bookings!)

    Winter Wonderful

  • A chance to warm up in our Spa (bring your bathers)!

  • NO DATES AVAILABLE

    (rice inclusive of your horse’s yard- you must supply your own feed and hay)

    Suggested list of must have clothing and items to pack for camp:

  • Your own helmet, boots and riding gloves if you have them, (we provide helmets and have some boots available for our NHO participants).

  • Your own drink bottle.

  • T-shirt, jumper and pair of jodhpurs (or similar loose fitting pants), socks and undies for each day of camp.

  • 1 x set Casual clothes for the evening.

  • 1 x set of painting clothes (3 day camp participants)

  •  Pajamas

  • Tooth brush

  • Towel

  • Swimmers (for the Spa)

  • Phone charger (if bringing your mobile phone).
